Back at HackX for the fourth edition. This time it felt like a fun nostalgia trip — seeing the same venue again at NMIMS, Navi Mumbai brought back memories from our previous attempts. The organizers had really leveled up with the F1-inspired racing theme, which was a cool creative touch.
Running the KeplerFS project built on a distributed file system problem statement was a solid challenge. The vibe was great, familiar faces everywhere — teammates from past hackathons, organizers who remembered us, people we'd met at other events. It felt like coming back to a place that felt like home.
The venue was well-organized, food and mentorship were both excellent, and the overall experience was smooth. The energy throughout the 24 hours was consistent, and the mentors were genuinely helpful and interested in what we were building. We got to catch up with folks we hadn't seen in a while, which honestly made the whole experience even better.
Ended up winning 2nd place, which was great, but more than the prize, it was just really nice to be back in that ecosystem. The swag was solid, the stay was comfortable, and the whole thing was a great time. Every hackathon with this crew and at this venue is always an awesome experience, and HackX 4.0 was no different.
